Gwen is a graduate student in the Master of Marine Management program at Dalhousie University. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Conservation (Sciences and Management Major) at the University of British Colombia in 2021, with a focus on forestry and aquatic conservation.

She is interested in the intersection between people and the environment, including how to better recognize and express complimentary cultural and ecological values in management. In her work as a research assistant with WP1.1, she hopes to explore the use of participatory mapping to define benthic ecosystem boundaries in a cross-cultural setting.
